My love of all things Carven has been well documented over the years. From the first time the French fashion house caught my eye when Rihanna wore a cutout dress from the brand, to the time Blake Lively brought high end fashion to WonderCon, Carven was and continues to be one of my favorite designer labels.
So of course when Zoe Saldana stepped out wearing a look from the label’s Spring 2013 collection, I was an instant fan.
Attending the 2nd Annual 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon hosted by The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo, Zoe brought it style-wise in a way that only she can.
Zoe was on hand to honor her personal stylist Petra Flannery as one of The Hollywood Reporter’s 25 Most Powerful Stylists in the industry.
Petra came in at number 2 on this list, and with a clientele that not only includes Zoe, but also starlets such as Emma Stone and Claire Danes, her ranking should come at no surprise.
Zoe along with Petra appears on one of four different covers for the special edition of The Hollywood Reporter.
Putting their fashion bonafides on display, both Zoe and Petra don looks from Versace for their cover debuts. Of her partnership with her long time stylist, who she met when she moved to L.A. to film Avatar, Zoe insists:
“Petra and I push each other in a good way…. I now wear pink.”
Zoe also credits Petra for introducing her to the world of fashion, informing and teaching her about different designers, and in the process creating a fashion monster.
