First Lady Michelle Obama delivers a great speech, and great fashion at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

Not only did she dazzle the crowd on night one of the 2012 Democratic National Convention, with a widely praised speech, but First Lady Michelle Obama also wowed with her fashion choices, a custom Tracy Reese dress, and J. Crew ‘Everly’ suede pumps ($245).

Mrs. O went for the tried and true political color combo of red and blue, but she added her own fashionable spin on the color scheme by opting for a shade of red that trended toward the pink end of the spectrum, and a softer, robin’s egg blue to complement.

If Mrs. Obama’s custom Tracy Reese dress looks familiar, that’s because it’s basically the same Tracy Reese for Anthropologie ‘Revisited Impressionist’ dress that both actresses Dianna Agron and Christel Khalil wore back in July. Same dress pattern, same fit, same silhouette, the only difference is Michelle’s dress is done in a different material.
