I present to you the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards red carpet, sponsored by the color green. A trio of the music industry’s most fashion forward divas all donned varying shades of the color at this year’s event, each to dramatic effect.
Trust Florence Welch to sell the hell out of a look that few (if anyone besides her) could pull off. Part Godzilla-lite and one-hundred percent haute couture, Florence’s Givenchy Couture custom creation featured emerald sequins, oversized reptilian-like studs, and an up-to-there thigh high split.
Florence completed her look with a matching Givenchy emerald sequined clutch, and a deep plum lip.
Also turning heads on the red carpet, and also wearing a sparkly green dress featuring a thigh high split, was Solange Knowles.
While Florence went the vamp route with her look, Solange channeled her inner Diana Ross in her Ralph & Russo Couture crystal embellished gown. Accessorizing with big hair, big jewels, and a killer pair of hot pink Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Spikes’ pumps ($1,195), it was classic trendsetting Solange on the Grammy red carpet.
Wearing a shade of green that’s been trending for several fashion seasons, Katy Perry turned it out in a mint creation from the Gucci Resort 2013 collection.
Her long sleeved, figure hugging frock featured a gorgeously embellished neckline of jeweled flowers made from gold, jade, pearls, turquoise, and other precious stones.
The dress also featured a keyhole opening at the bustline that offered more than just a little peek at what Katy’s working with. Hey, if you’ve got it, flaunt it. She finished off her look with a pair of Gucci ‘Lisbeth’ patent leather slingback platform heels ($685).
