Do we really need words for this? At this point it’s a given that when Solange Knowles steps out, she’s going to put her best fashion foot forward and turn heads.

Solo outdid herself this time though, as she was seen leaving a Vanity Fair and Chanel dinner party at Tetou Restaurant in Cannes, wearing Stéphane Rolland Spring 2013 couture.

Her cream jumpsuit featured a retro, wide-leg silhouette, and a ruffle embellished neckline that only those with Solange’s fashion fortitude could even attempt to pull off.

Solange completed her look with a relatively simple pair of Guiseppe Zanotti plated heel sandals ($750), her signature mane of curly hair, and a pop of color in the form of a bright red lip.

If I’m not mistaken Solange is a Cannes Film Festival newbie, but of course she isn’t missing a style beat, and is in fact stealing the fashion show from Cannes regulars like Zoe Saldana and Eva Longoria.

The young ladies of young Hollywood continue to impress with their style choices, proving they can werq the red carpets just as well as their more seasoned counterparts. At the forefront of this über fashionable pack are Zendaya Coleman and Chloe Moretz among others.

Zendaya’s experiencing what could possibly prove to be her industry breakout moment, with her participation in this season’s Dancing with the Stars. As such, she was on hand at Boulevard3 in Hollywood to celebrate the show’s 300th episode.

I think what I admire most about Zendaya’s style is that she manages to pull together outfits that make clear, decisive fashion statements, yet her looks are always age appropriate.

At the DWTS party, Zendaya opted for the classic color combination of pink and green, with a pink tuxedo courtesy of Ted Baker London. Her tuxedo jacket ($238) and matching tuxedo trousers ($135) are currently on sale at Nordstrom at 40% off.

To give the suited look a youthful edge, Zoe added a ‘Bam!’ tee from Sandro ($77), and finished things with a standout pair of Charlotte Olympia ‘Eve’ leaf motif booties ($1195).

Chloe, whose next starring role is that of the titular character in the big screen remake of Stephen King’s Carrie, graced this year’s cover of Nylon Magazine’s annnual ‘Young Hollywood’ issue. In celebration, the mag threw a party in Chole’s honor at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

Though she may be young, Chloe’s always had a sharp eye for fashion and high end designer goods, and she isn’t above experimenting with her look. At the Nylon party she chose a dress from the Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Fall 2013 collection, a pink gingham bodycon number featuring long sleeves and a high neckline.

Chloe completed her look with a pair of wine colored, patent leather Jimmy Choo ‘Talan’ t-strap pumps.

Okay, so maybe these aren’t the best shoes to wear during the third trimester of one’s pregnancy, but you can’t deny their flyness. Kim Kardashian wearing Givenchy sandals from the fashion house’s Spring 2013 collection, stepped out for a little mother-daughter bonding time with mom Kris, and set the internet abuzz with chatter over her choice of footwear.

It looks just a smidge uncomfortable, but Kim is determined not to let her pregnancy impede her high fashion style. Her outfit is head-to-toe Givenchy, from the open sleeve midi dress ($1757), to the much talked about ‘Albertina’ pvc and leather podium heels ($2950).

Look past Kim’s styling of these shoes, and you’ll notice they’re actually pretty fly. If the nearly $3,000 price tag isn’t in your budget though, the Jeffery Campbell ‘Not There’ sandal (pictured above) offers the same sophisticated detailing of the original Givenchy shoe at a mere fraction of the cost.

With her CW series The Carrie Diaries earning itself a second season, actress AnnaSophia Robb has a lot to smile about these days, including how fab she looked at the CW Network’s New York 2013 Upfront Presentation.

AnnaSophia pulled out one of her best red carpet looks to date, a Katie Ermilio one-shoulder knee length dress that features a knotted bow feature across the bust, and a triangle shaped front cut-out. In addition to these details, the bodice and the skirt of AnnaSophia’s dress feature contrasting striped motifs.

It’s a lot of detailing happening in one dress, so AnnaSophia wisely chose to go neutral with her accessories, which include a nude pair of Casadei blade heel pumps.

What pulls AnnaSophia’s look together though, is her glorious headful of deeply waved, vintage styled locks. AnnaSophia is giving us classic Veronica Lake with that hair, and we’re loving it.

Actress Kerry Washington has a documented history of adding a little (or a lot of) leather to her wardrobe. There was the little black leather dress at 106 & Park, the black leather top at Comic Con 2012, and the head-to-toe leather bustier and pants ensemble at the HFPA Salute to Young Hollywood party back in ’08.

But while her past leather looks were monochromatic, mostly black ensembles, Kerry has switched it up wearing not one, but two different red leather dresses in a matter of days. Though the dresses may be similar, through strategic styling choices, two completely different looks are achieved.

First up, Kerry paid a visit to ABC Studios in NYC to film a segment of Good Morning America. The Scandal star wore a Miss Wu red leather dress ($865), pairing the frock with a just as red (if not more so) leaf-print gazar jacket from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s The Row ($2990).

Kerry accessorized her look with red highlighted hair, a Jason Wu ‘Daphne’ cross body bag ($1495), and a pair of Christian Louboutin ‘Batignolles’ snake print pumps ($945).

At the Entertainment Weekly & ABC-TV Upfronts Party, Kerry wore her second red leather dress, this one a long-sleeve, mini number from Marc by Marc Jacobs. For the event she opted for a more sophisticated styling, one that appropriately reflects the change in venue.

Kerry’s sideswept hair, and deep red lip create a classic beauty look. While her Lanvin pumps ($741) and Lanvin minaudière box clutch ($1774) ground the entire look with black accenting.

Female celebrities wearing white suits on the red carpet became a big trend a few seasons ago, with the likes of Rihanna, Eva Marcille, and Camilla Belle all taking part. The all white suited look is proving to be an enduring style choice though, as it’s popped up again, this time on Zoe Saldana and Janelle Monae.

Zoe, who’s in the midst of a worldwide press tour for the release of her new film Star Trek into Darkness, continued to pull out all the style stops at the movie’s Mexico City premiere.

She donned an all-white ensemble from the Elie Saab Fall 2013 ready-to-wear collection that featured a sheer topped, trouser leg jumpsuit, under which Zoe added a lacy white bra.

It’s a simple look that creates quite the dramatic statement, one that’s further accented by Zoe’s red lip, and matching red nails.

Singer Janelle Monae is known for her signature suit and tuxedo looks, but when she visited BET’s 106 & Park to debut the video for her latest single Queen, Janelle switched it up a bit from her typical mostly black ensembles, and opted for a cream suit featuring black accents from high street retailer Topshop.

Janelle’s Grossgrain Collar Blazer ($200) and matching Grossgrain Wide-leg Trousers ($100) combine for a timeless look that’s elevated by Janelle’s clean makeup and relatively simple styling.

Menswear inspired clothing has always been, and will continue to be a womenswear fashion standard, and by going all-white with those looks, an additional layer of subtle femininity is quickly and effectivly added.

While fashion snobs across the globe cry out in frustration, I’m quietly cackling with glee. Swimsuit model Kate Upton has managed to do what many a runway model has not, and that’s nab a HIGHLY coveted spot on the cover of Vogue Magazine.

Miss Upton covers the June issue of Vogue US, where she’s crowned ‘The Hottest Supermodel on Earth’ by the magazine. That’s a bold declaration that’s sure to get folks talking.

If you didn’t know, Kate’s a polarizing figure in the fashion industry, with many believing she doesn’t belong there.

Whether that’s true or not is up for debate, but the Michigan native is getting the last laugh regardless, with not one, but two Vogue covers under her belt. Her Vogue US cover girl debut follows her turn as the January 2013 cover subject of Vogue UK.

As Kate’s editorial career has gradually moved from swimsuit to high fashion, she continues to improve her skill set. These latest Vogue pics, which were lensed by photographer Mario Testino, are some of Kate’s best work to date.

The images call to mind that ’90s era of modeling, when being pretty and girl next door approachable, was the industry standard, a standard that allowed the supers to become Supers.

Perhaps Vogue is on to something, in dubbing Kate a supermodel this early in her career. She’s got the looks. She’s got the personality. And most importantly, she has a fandom that extends beyond the circle of those who closely follow fashion, and into the mainstream.

The movie doesn’t premiere until May 17th, so until Star Trek Into Darkness hits theaters, we’ll be seeing quite a bit of Miss Saldana on the red-carpet, and that’s always a great thing for fashion.

With so much visual detailing happening in both the top half and bottom half of Zoe’s outfit, it’s only fitting that she chose to go light on hair and makeup. A simple middle parted low bun, and barely there makeup completed Zoe’s look.

Whether you’re a fan of ABC’s Revenge or not, you’ve got to at least be thankful to the primetime drama for introducing British actress Ashley Madekwe to the American masses.

Wearing a Topshop check dungaree jumpsuit ($110), the always stylish Miss Madekwe was her typically chic self, attending BAFTA Los Angeles and Sir Philip Green Celebrate the British New Wave at Topshop Topman at The Grove.

90′s fashion is making a steady comeback, and overalls (love them or hate them) were a definite wardrobe staple of that era. It makes sense then, that as 90′s fashion experiences its revival, so too are overalls.

If you’re brave enough to venture into the dungaree wearing waters, take a tip from Ashley and keep it contemporary by choosing a pair that are finished in lightweight fabrics, or feature clean, minimalist motifs.

Her character on Glee might be quite the bad girl, but when it comes to her off the soundstage style, actress Naya Rivera shows she can play both sides of the bad girl/good girl coin.

At the 2013 Logo NewNowNext Awards, where she was on hand to present during the ceremony, Naya wore an all black everythang outfit courtesy of Monique Lhuillier.

She chose a strapless peplum top, and sleek, slim cut trousers from the designer’s Spring 2013 ready to wear collection. Tousled hair, and smokey eyes give Naya’s overall look a calculated edge.

Fast forward a week or so, and it was a fresh faced and wide eyed Naya who attended the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. With her hair pulled back into a sleek pony, and her makeup trending on the natural side with a subtle hint of rose colored blush, it’s the ‘sweet’ counterpart to Naya’s earlier ‘sultry’ look.

The focal point of Naya’s GLAAD Awards look though, was of course her gorgeous Zac Posen strapless blush colored dress, which featured a fitted silhouette, and flounce hemline.

In an excellent example of how the smallest of accessories can make the biggest of statements, Naya’s Dana Rebecca Designs jade drop earrings almost steal the wardrobe show, as the eye is instantly drawn to their bright pop of color.
