They stun on the runway, but rising supermodels Chanel Iman and Jourdan Dunn prove they can werq the red-carpet, too!

The career of a high fashion runway model is pretty short lived these days. The era of The Supers and their decades long careers is essentially over.

So it’s a testament to the talents and brains behind the beauties that are Chanel Iman and Jourdan Dunn that both models have not only managed to work consistently in the industry, but have also maintained ‘top model’ statuses.

Chanel Iman splashed onto the fashion scene back in 2007 when Vogue Magazine dubbed her one of The World’s Next Top Models.

Since then she’s had a career of highlights including becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel and making her 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut.

To celebrate that latest achievement, Chanel attended the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit South Beach Soiree looking every bit the top model she is.

She donned a two-piece ensemble from the Fausto Puglisi Resort 2014 collection that featured a cropped top, and flared a-line mini skirt. Chanel completed the look with Giuseppe Zanotti black and gold studded ankle strap sandals.

Chanel is currently battling it out with this year’s other Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue newbies for the title of ‘Rookie of the Year’, but considering her high fashion and commercial success, she’s already a winner.

Like Chanel, Jourdan Dunn also had a much talked about entry into the world of modeling when she was the first black model in ten years to walk in a Prada runway show in 2007.

That headline making debut was quickly followed by an equally as talked about turn as a cover model for Vogue Italia’s controversial ‘Black Issue’, and after nearly ten years in the modeling game, Jourdan is still making waves in the industry.

She’s currently the host of her own cooking show on Jay-Z’s Life + Times lifestyle website entitled Well Done with Jourdan Dunn, and recently partnered with Mrs. Shawn Carter herself, aka Beyoncé, for the songstress’ racy Yoncé video.

Considering her certified list of fashion credentials, it should be no surprise that Jourdan’s personal style is quite on point.

The London born beauty successfully turned it out on the red-carpet of the Elle Style Awards 2014, wearing a black and white mini dress from the Tom Ford Spring 2014 ready-to-wear collection.

Center parted loosely waved locks, and Tom Ford open toe leather booties finished off Jourdan’s ripped from the runway ensemble.
