The Royals have set foot on American soil, and unlike during their Canadian sojourn, where she stuck mostly to navys and greys, Catherine Middleton has decided to inject a bit of bold color into her wardrobe.
During a private reception held at the British Consul-General’s residence in Los Angeles on Friday, Catherine wore a brightly hued Diane von Furstenberg ‘Maja’ belted silk dress, that almost matched perfectly to the lawn. Coincidentally, the official color name of the dress is, in fact, ‘lawn,’ a fun shade of green that calls to mind a fresh blade of summer grass.
Catherine didn’t let the fashion fun end with her dress either. She accessorized her look with a Diane von Furstenberg ‘Lytton’ snakeskin clutch. Of course she had to go ‘traditional’ somewhere with her ensemble, and she did that with a pair of nude patent heels.
