Why I love patterns, Exhibit A: Rose Byrne in Diane von Furstenberg at the G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala

If I haven’t mentioned it, I have an oddly strong affinity for two piece ensembles that feature a pattern paired with a pattern, like a polka dot shirt paired with matching polka dot pants. Fashion along those lines, I love.

So when I saw pictures of actor Rose Byrne wearing a two piece printed Diane von Furstenberg look to the 2013 G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala, I literally said out loud, “I love this.”

My expression, while a bit overdramatic, was still fact. I have no idea why, but I love pattern on top of pattern. Perhaps it’s my inner Solange Knowles directing my fashion tastes. Whatever the case, I was in instant love with Rose’s head-to-toe look.
