And the campaign goes to…Joan Smalls for Fendi Fall 2012.

Ladies and gents, there’s just no stopping Joan Smalls. In the last month alone, the beauty made her debut as a W Magazine cover girl, a Givenchy campaign star, and now she adds face of Fendi to her ever growing, and increasingly illustrious resume.

Joan, who walked Fendi for the first time this year, was revealed today by WWD as the only girl star of the label’s Fall 2012 ad campaign. Lensed by Fendi Artistic Director Karl Lagerfeld, the first image released from the campaign features Joan posed against a backdrop of Italian countryside.

Of his new star, Karl only had glowing words to share:

“I said to myself backstage during the show: It’s her and her alone. No other girl — or boy — no child, only her.”

This isn’t the first time Joan and Karl have worked together. Joan, along with fellow model Saskia de Brauw, was also chosen by the photographer/designer for Chanel’s Spring 2012 campaign.
