Yeah, I’m a few weeks late to the game with this one. First Lady Michelle Obama has shown in the past that she’s a fan of high street online retailer ASOS. While on a diplomatic trip to South Africa back in June, she wore a top from the store’s ASOS Africa collection.

A little over a month later on July 24, the First Lady showed her affinity for the brand once again, wearing an ASOS check print midi dress to a cookout for National Guard and Reserve and Active Duty members and their families in New Hampshire as part of her Joining Forces initiative.

It’s a cute dress, with a flattering silhouette; the nipped in waist paired with the flared skirt looks good on almost every body type. Plus, the bright red and white check pattern adds visual interest to an otherwise simple dress.
