We’ve seen quite a bit of chartreuse on the red carpet as of late (okay, so twice in one week doesn’t exactly equate to ‘quite a bit,’ but it works for the purposes of this post, lol), and R&B songstress Keri Hilson is the latest celebutante to get in on the new color trend.
Unlike Nina Dobrev and Jordin Sparks though, Keri didn’t pair her chartreuse with grey. At the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, Keri went all out, and matched a boldly hued chartreuse dress with a turquoise belt, completing her look with gold Christian Louboutin heels.
It takes some style guts to match two unlikely colors in one outfit, but Keri manages to successfully pull it off here. Bold color combos are big in fashion for summer 2011, but if you’re not ready to color block, you can take a hint from Keri, and subtly introduce a little color into your wardrobe.
