Back in December, Angelina Jolie gave a rare candid interview to Vogue Magazine, and finally explained why her wardrobe consists of so much black. To paraphrase, she said it’s just easier. Makes sense, and with six kids, who has time to worry about being fashionable? (Let’s pretend she doesn’t have nannies or stylists.)
But when Angelina does take a step outside her style box and wears color, she always amazes.
At the L.A. premiere of partner Brad Pitt’s new movie, Tree of Life, Angie went for bold in a scarlett Jenny Packham one-shoulder gown, Stuart Weitzman heels, and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
Again, I do understand why Angelina goes for the monochromatic wardrobe. It is in fact easier. But when you look as amazing in bold hues as she does, it’s such a shame to not go for color more often. Nonetheless, even though it’s a rare occurrence, we’ll have to appreciate Angie’s fashion ‘risks’ whenever they do happen.
