The ads were shot months ago in NYC, but we finally get our first look at Leighton Meester fronting Vera Wang’s ‘Lovestruck’ fragrance campaign. Wearing a maroon, strapless Vera Wang couture gown, the Gossip Girl actress poses on the balcony of a SoHo apartment, as a paramour offers her a bouquet of flowers.
Leighton makes it all look so effortless, but these ads were shot during the middle of a New York winter. Said Vera Wang to WWD:
“Everyone else was in three parkas and Leighton is standing there in a strapless evening dress with a very thin fabric.”
Talk about taking one for the team. With this kind of work ethic, it’s no wonder Leighton’s found success in Hollywood. Her ‘Lovestruck’ print ads will begin to hit the pages of US fashion and beauty mags in September, with the fragrance launching in US stores in August.
