Fashion Week is barely over, and already we’re seeing runway looks on the red carpet. Actress Kate Winslet walked the red carpet of the premiere of her HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce wearing Stella McCartney Fall 2011. Her black, perfectly fitted knee length dress features an entire side that consists of a polka dotted mesh panel. It’s both chic, and subtly sexy.
Stella McCartney Fall 2011 was a very hit or miss collection for me. But the last few looks walked down the runway, including the one Kate wears, were definite hits. The mix between traditional dress standards, and those sexy hints of mesh, combine to create ultra chic, ultra contemporary looks. I think Kate looks phenomenal in this look, and this is one of her best style efforts.
