Singer/Actress Jennifer Hudson’s style transformation isn’t simply about her weight loss, her new size was simply a catalyst for more self confidence when it came to her fashion choices. She must have a new stylist to go along with her new look, because Jennifer has been on a style roll as of late. At the 2011 Nickelodeon Upfront Presentation, the Oscar winner glowed in a Chloé Resort 2011 whipstitch leather dress, and Fendi snakeskin logo plate platforms.
An all leather dress would be a difficult look for most to pull off, but Jennifer definitely makes this Chloé dress work. The nude color, and flared skirt give the piece a chic feel and silhouette, and the colorful shoes keep the overall look, fun. I love Jennifer’s new style, and can’t wait to see what she (and her stylists) come up with next.
If you’re interested in her dress, get it from Net-a-porter for $3,135. If you’re not trying to spend that much on a dress, try this one from Asos.com, which retails for a budget friendlier $80.69. It’s not leather, but the color and silhouette are the same, and gives the same flirty vibe as Jennifer’s Chloé dress.
