She might have been the upset win of the 2011 Grammy Awards ceremony, when she came from nowhere to edge out the competition for ‘Best New Artist.’ But the unexpected nature of her win didn’t keep jazz musician and bassist Esperanza Spalding from accepting her award with both grace and style.
She definitely has a fun sense of fashion, as evidenced by her green awards show dress, paired with soft pink heels. While showing off her Grammy in the Awards press room though, that’s when Esperanza really let her eclectic style shine through.
The ‘New Artist’ wore a Suno blazer, white lace blouse, black slacks, and canvas lace-up oxfords. The blazer and slacks combo isn’t anything new, but the bold fabric of Esperanza’s Suno jacket, kicks this classic look up a notch.
