Actress Naya Rivera might be one of the lesser known cast members of Fox’s hit tv show Glee, but after her appearance at the network’s TCA Party on Tuesday (Jan 11), she can definitely be added to the list of most stylish. Her character’s been seeing more screen time this season on Glee, and with more screen time comes more red carpet invites.
If her outfit at the TCA Party is any indication though, Naya is already proving she’s more than capable of meeting the challenge that is having her style critiqued and judged, by red carpet watchers.
Her Christoforos Kotentos Fall 2010 dress, with its mixed patterns, puffed shoulders, and exaggerated hips could’ve been a disaster of too many trends happening simultaneously in one piece of clothing. But somehow, each detail instead comes together to create a chic little mini dress. That’s definitely the mark of a great designer.
Where Naya really earns her place on our ‘could be a fashionista’ list though, is the way she completes her look with a pair of red suede Yves Saint Laurent ‘Tribtoo’ platform pumps. That decision to go with such a bold colored shoe, when she was already wearing a dress of contrasting patterns, signals she’s a celebrity who’s not afraid to take a fashion risk.

I like the dress but, I think it would look better without the water-colored pieces.
