It must be nice. Actress Elle Fanning is only twelve-years-old, and already, she gets to wear designer outfits that are fresh off the runway. At the New York premiere of her latest movie, Somewhere, Elle wore head-to-toe Rodarte from the label’s Spring 2011 collection. The tan suede and gold leather embossed dress, the white see-through socks, even the gold platforms, they’re all from Rodarte (although the shoes are a Nicholas Kirkwood and Rodarte collaborative effort).
Somehow, Elle has quickly developed a talent for taking runway looks, and wearing them in an age appropriate way. I’m sure none of the high end designers that she’s worn as of late, ever thought their clothes would be seen on a twelve-year-old. She makes it work though, case in point, this Rodarte look. On the runway, the socks are bordering on overkill, but on Elle they seem appropriate, and add a youthful feel to her look.
According to IMDB, she has four more movies lined up, and I can’t wait to see what red carpet looks this young fashionista will pull out next.
