Shala Monroque wasn’t the only lady to arrive at the 7th Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards on the arm of the designer of her gown. America’s Next Top Model cycle 3 runner up, Yaya Dacosta walked the ‘red’ carpet along with designer Christian Cota, wearing a gown from his Spring 2011 collection.
In the years post ANTM, Yaya has done some modeling, nabbed a few magazine covers, and has become an actress, with her latest role being a part in the upcoming Tron sequel, Tron:Legacy. Yaya in Christian Cota is definitely a case of the dress looking better off the runway than on. She just wears the floor length gown with far more confidence than the runway model. Plus, her chic up ‘do, and tear drop earrings give the look a little something extra that’s missing from the runway.
