Remember when we discussed Willow Smith’s 2010 American Music Awards outfit? Her grey onesie with a yellow leather one shoulder harness? Well, it turns out her ensemble, specifically the harness, was an unsanctioned knockoff of Mother of London, a fashion label by designer Mildred Von Hildegard. And as can be expected, Miss Hildegard is none too pleased about the theft of her design. She tells fashion blog, Haute Macabre:

“I’m disappointed and saddened that this will negatively impact my business. My original design is now recognized in the mass media as someone else’s work, and it’s very hurtful on both a personal and professional levels. I hope this can be resolved, and I wish nothing but the best to Willow.”

After news of the knockoff mishap hit the internet, there was a search for the culprit behind Willow’s American Music Awards styling, since her sometimes stylist, Mariel Haenn (who also styles Rihanna), immediately distanced herself from the scandal, taking to Twitter to proclaim her innocence, and sending an email to Coilhouse blog:

“To be honest I have no idea who ‘styled’ her or the designer. Wish I did. I don’t ask my clients who they used when I’m not available.”

JustJared.com got to the bottom of everything though, and found out who really styled Willow at the AMAs, Brea Stinson aka Bstar, a fashion stylist/designer who’s represented by Balan, Inc.
