Remember when I made the suggestion that if Leighton Meester ever decided to give up her day job, she should take up modeling? Well, the Gossip Girl star just picked up a lucrative side job, as the face of Vera Wang’s newest fragrance. With a two year, $3 million dollar contract, Leighton will be sitting pretty for at least a couple of years.
Of the collaboration, Vera Wang herself, had this to say:
“Meester’s beauty, talent, and spirit will inspire all the young women that I hope will enjoy this passionate, new young fragrance.”
This kind of campaign is a pretty big deal for a young starlet like Leighton, and she seemed to be excited on the set of the first commercial for the new fragrance, which will hit stores summer of 2011. Shot by photographer Carter Smith, the commercial was filmed in NYC. Leighton wore a stunning Vera Wang gown, which appears to be a modified dress from the designer’s Spring 2011 bridal collection.

Wow this looks great! I would love to try the fragrance, hope is as good as the advertising, and Leighton is so pretty, she’s an inspiration, true beauty.

It sure is to die for, lol. Both the bridal version and Leighton’s version are gorgeous. Vera Wang definitely knows how to do a gown.
