Peter Dundas, head designer at Emilio Pucci, is making sure his brand’s versatility gets noticed, by sending out modified versions of his runway looks onto the red carpet. If you recall, model Joan Smalls was spotted at the 7th Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in modified Emilio Pucci. Now it’s actress Jada Pinkett Smith, at the 2010 American Music Awards, who’s wearing an altered look from the Spring 2011 Emilio Pucci collection. The original runway dress was head-to-toe black, but Jada’s frock has been modified into a bronze/rust colored creation.
The runway version is gorgeous, but I love Jada’s version on her. The bronze color plays beautifully against her recently acquired Hawaiian tan, and the dress provides a refreshing pop of color in the middle of these drab winter months.
