Channeling her best Edie Sedgwick, Ashlee Simpson and her platinum locks took to the streets of Hollywood to attend the Solstice Sunglasses launch party. Wearing an oversized sweater, gold Chanel earrings, platform heels, and J Brand ‘Agnes’ jeans in stealth, Ashlee’s look was a contemporary take on 60s mod. My favorite piece from her ensemble, followed closely by the Chanel earrings, are her J Brand jeans. They’re the skinny fit that has become standard in recent years, yet the wax coated finish, give them a fresh look.
Ashlee isn’t the only starlet wearing coated jeans either. Rihanna stepped out in the same J Brand ‘Agnes’ jeans to have lunch at Da Silvano in NYC. As opposed to Ashlee’s vintage look, Rihanna went for something edgier, pairing her jeans with a denim shirt, Christian Louboutin heels, and a leopard print scarf.
