Singer Ameriie has decided to go platinum blonde (and to also add an extra ‘i’ to her name). She hosted the Grey Goose 7th Annual Black Affair in Dallas, TX and premiered her new, much lighter locks. Ameriie isn’t the only R&B songstress to recently go blonde, having followed in the footsteps of Keri Hilson before her, and Mya, before her.
I have to be honest here, though, and just like with Mya, I am not feeling Ameriie’s blonde hair. Blonde isn’t a good look for everyone, and more than anything, I think this particular shade of blonde isn’t right for Ameriie. If she wanted to go lighter, I think a honey blonde/caramel brown should have been first her first destination before making the leap all the way to platinum. But hey, if she likes it, I love it.
