Inspired Style… Lauren Conrad Rocks Plaid

by Norell Alesse on September 1, 2008

I wouldn’t necessarily call this look ’90s grunge, but The Hills star Lauren Conrad is definitely rocking a ’90s staple– plaid. I appreciate how she’s taken a decidedly unfeminine piece, the plaid shirt, and created an ultra feminine look. By pairing her plaid shirt with skinny jeans and platform YSL tribute sandals, Lauren takes this look from casual to chic. So far, I think this is my favorite celebrity wearing plaid ensemble.

The shirt is actually a dress from Urban Outfitters (Lux High Plains Drifter Dress
-blue)…she cut it into a shirt. It’s no longer available at Urban Outfitters. :-(

It is a dress from Urban Outfitters called Lux High Plains Drifter Dress, but they currently do not have any available online. Bummer. Check your local Urban Outfitters!

I have been searching the internet all day and can not seem to find what designer/label the plaid shirt comes from. I love the look!

Victoria, its a Balenciaga Lariat, its been around for a while but its lovely! I have a black one and it ages beautifully. I’m not sure about cheaper versions but you can look on Baglady.com for inspiration?
;)

Can you tell me what bag that is? And where to get a cheaper version. Pleeeeaasee.

Loving the Balenciaga Lariat bag, its most definitely a modern classic. I don’t really ‘do’ white bags (even a Birkin looks bad in white) but I can admire it from afar.
The tributes are cute too but it makes the outfit a tad over styled and look slightly inappropriate.

I hope you’re ok and have found shelter from ‘Gustav’ xx
