Call me crazy, but I actually like the dress Grey’s Anatomy star, Sandra Oh wore to the 2008 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards. The most hated part of the dress, the bow, is actually what I like most about it. It adds a bit of fun to an otherwise austere dress. The one thing I’d question about the dress is its color, all that black material is almost too much. I don’t know how I feel about the black and red combination, but I’m definitely a fan of the dress’ overall shape, and of course that bow, lol. I have a feeling people are either going to love or hate Sandra’s dress. Which side of the fence do you fall on?

Love it!
First time seeing this . . . I think the dress suit Sandra well. But what I'm trying to find out is where she got that little brown studded jacket she is photographed in and has worn on the program.
hi, i’m not korean, but still, cant you tell that that is a modern take on the traditional korean dress? i think it’s sophisticated, youthful, different. in essence, perfect. i love it completely!
WHATEVA!!!
i love it!! she’s korean; so its a spin on the korean traditional dress. usually it comes in funky colors like that. i think its really really cute!!
Well, most wouldn’t appreciate the beauty in this, but this is a spin off from a traditional HanBok which are worn by Koreans. I actually love the colors and materials used for this gown. Most Hanboks aren’t made from this material nor are the colors used. A Hanbok is a free flowing gown that is usually accompanied by a cropped jacket/top (which she doesn’t have, and i think that if she worn one it would have looked too “costumey” for the event.)
A traditional Hanbok does have a bow that flows midway or all the way down the dress.
Heres a picture of what a Hanbok looks like: http://verbalcroquis.files.wordpress.com/2005/12/hanbok.jpg
i dont think it would be so bad it the ribbon from the bow wasnt there
At first look, I was like WTF? But it’s actually a nice dress. Very different, especially for her, but she pulled it off.
it’s a modification of a hanbok, a traditional Korean dress, damnit. how come no one can figure it out and respect that fact?!?!
I think its kinda cool too it look kindof like a modern interpretation of a Korean hanbok.
