Solange Knowles is coming into her own and slowly moving beyond her role as Beyonce’s little sister. The singer/actress made an appearance at the kick off party for the 50th anual Grammy Awards. About Solange’s outfit, all I can say is that I appreciate what she’s trying to do. I can see the look she’s trying to go for, and she was thisclose to pulling it off, but something’s just not right. Colored tights are big for winter, and not everyone can work them. If you’re gonna do colored tights, everything else has to be muted. The shiny-ness of Solange’s dress, the brightness of the tights, all that hair, plus those shoes, all come together to complete an outfit that’s not quite right. How would you fix Solange’s look? Or do you love it the way that it is?

wear all dull black with no shiny and the turquiose or yellow or neon pick tights the she would looks great! im only 12 by the way!

Lee, I completely agree. I think if she’d worn a black pump, the outfit would look much better.
It’s the shoes…it makes the outfit too busy…same color shoes…one long line…. :)
