Turns out that actress Hayden Panettiere is more than just a pretty face. The humanitarian in training spoke about her Save the Whales campaign at the Forecast Earth Summit hosted by The Weather Channel. You may or may not recall, but Hayden recently risked her life in Japan to prevent fishermen from hunting dolphins. Dressed smartly in black slacks, nude pumps, and a sheer pink blouse, Hayden definitely looked the part of a young environmentalist. Hayden is a very petite girl, yet she somehow manages to pull off wide leg pants. Her look just proves that anyone can wear almost anything if it’s tailored just right. If you’re a bit vertically challenged like Hayden, the key to wearing wide leg pants without looking dowdy is to keep an eye on proportions. Make sure your pants are hemmed just right, if they’re too long, you’ll become lost in fabric. Also, balance your wide pants with a fitted top. Or if you want a more forgiving silhouette, you can wear a billowy top like Hayden, but make sure that it’s made of a light weight fabric that will drape on your body.
