Covergirls…Jill Scott Makes A Comeback In Essence

I fell in love with Jill Scott and her music when her first cd Who Is Jill Scott? hit the scene. Her music was like a breath of fresh air in an industry that routinely put out artists whose music may have sound good, but failed to say anything. In recent years though, we haven’t heard much from Miss Scott. She did release a second cd, but it failed to impress as much as her first. Yet despite keeping a low profile as of late, Jill Scott is back with an upcoming third album entitled, The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3. In her time away Jill has gone through a divorce, and a period of hurt and healing, but she’s managed to come through it all looking as beautiful as ever. On the cover of the September issue of Essence magazine, I think this is the best she’s ever looked. Jill’s third album will be released on September 25th, but until then, check out her latest video, Hate On Me.
