At a recent appearance on MTV’s TRL, Jessica Alba looks fabulously casual, but check out her dress. If you notice, it’s definitely a dress that could easily be worn more formally. Just lose the tights, add some sky high heels, and Jessica would be ready for any red carpet event. I love how she’s taken this otherwise formal dress, and created a look that’s totally casual.
I think this look is perfect for any of us ‘regular’ Batches to try, but you’ve got to keep a few things in mind. Firstly, I don’t know how well this would work with a dress that’s overly formal. You know, one that has sequin, and lace, or something like that. But if you’re still bold enough to try it with a dress like that, make sure you have the attitude to pull it off. Fashion is just as much attitude as it is the clothes you’re actually wearing. And lastly, keep your shoes flat. I think if you’re trying to go casual with this look, heels won’t achieve that.
