With magazines like Vanity Fair we’re used to seeing celebrities posed on their covers, usually promoting some new movie or other endeavor that the celeb’s involved in. So it’s nice to see a celebrity on a magazine cover not promoting a new movie, but bringing awareness to a cause that needs recognition. The July issue of Vanity Fair, which is guest edited by Bono, focuses on the current crisis in Africa. Photographed by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, the issue’s cover features celebs partaking in a game of ‘telephone’ across 20 different covers of the July issue. We often look to magazine covers to see celebs wearing the latest outfits, and sporting the latest accessories. So when celebrities promote something that’s truly newsworthy, I felt that I had to share. My favorite cover is definitely the one featuring Iman. She looks so regal and poised; you’re just drawn in and want to read what she has to say. To find out more about the issue, and to see all 20 covers, head over to Vanity Fair’s website.
