First there were pockets, and now celebrity dresses are sporting a new trend– pleats. When done correctly, pleats add something unexpected and fun to any dress. The vertical lines created by vertical pleats add length, and make us short ladies look taller. Plus, they’re incredibly feminine. Celebrity-wise pleats have been seen more on formal dresses, but they can be done casually. Just make sure the pleats are on dresses that have longer lengths; those that hit at or below the knee. Surprisingly, pleats can flatter almost any shape. If you aren’t so skinny, then just go for wider pleats, or a softer material. Life & Style Weekly may be mostly about the celebrity gossip, but they definitely spot the celebrity fashion trends.
