Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera graces the latest cover of W Magazine. Can I just say that I want to be on the cover of W Magazine, because they definitely do some beautiful work. I’m sure you all remember when Ellen Degeneres was in the mag, she was fabulous. I’ve always believed America was beautiful, her looks even shine through when she’s dressed up as Betty. But here in this photo shoot, she’s simply on fire. What I love most about America though, is that she seems to be just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. On her non standard Hollywood body, America had this to say:
“Of course I want to be at a weight where I’m happy. There are times when I go to the gym and really try, and there are times when I just don’t. I gain a pound; I lose a pound. But I think I’ve developed a really good sense of when I’m doing something for myself as opposed to when I’m doing something because of other people’s expectations of me. And honestly, even if I wanted to be anorexic, I just don’t have what it takes. After four hours of being anorexic, I’d be like, ‘It’s been four whole hours! Feed me!’”
That’s so real and honest. I’m sure it can’t be easy for actresses without stick thin figures to feel beautiful in Hollywood, but America has proven that curves are sexy too.
