ANTM Cycle 8…Episode 6, Who Are You?

I usually limit my posts on America’s Next Top Model to discussing the photo shoots, but there were so many things wrong with this episode, I had to cover everything, lol. First off, who’s bright idea was it to make the girls come up with nicknames? (And why do we call them girls? They’re grown women, with children.) Really, Whitelle? Wholahay? What’s wrong with a person using their real name? Tyra even had the nerve to change Dionne’s new name from Wholahay to Brown as if that was any better. For Real? Brown? One of the most entertaining scenes of the night came when 50 Cent threw Jael and Natasha into a pool, after which they had to meet Benny Medina, Tyra’s manager. That had to be embarrassing for them. Oh well, when 50 tells you to get out of his face, you better get out of his face :) .

Lastly, we must discuss this week’s photo shoot. The challenge was for the girls to portray four different emotions/personality traits of their choosing. Sounds cool, right? Well trust Tyra and company to ruin what could have been a simple, yet beautiful photo shoot. Seriously, look at these photos. The borders and fonts and first grade photo-shopping skills are completely distracting. You barely notice the girls’ faces. I think simply because of the editing alone, this has to be the worst photo shoots on ANTM. Maybe I’m wrong, what did you think?
