Sigh, yet another fashion week, but I’m not complaining. I love looking at the beautiful designer creations that I’ll never own, lol . When Paris held its Couture Fashion Week earlier this year, Christian Dior’s geisha themed show was easily my favorite. If you took out all of the ‘fanciful’ elements of the Dior Couture show, then you’d be left with their fall ready-to-wear collection. What I love most about the collection is the color palette used. Bold colors such as fuscia, cobalt blue, and lime green, aren’t usually found in your traditional fall palette. With the use of these intense colors combined with ultra feminine lines such as multi-teired ruffle skirts, John Galliano, the chief designer at Dior, has completely reinvented the fall wardrobe. In addition, you must check out the footwork on these models. I swear their heels have to be at least six inches. They’re granted temporary batch-status just for being able to walk the runway. I loved Dior’s couture show, and I’ve fallen in love with their fall ready-to-wear collection.
