Courtney Love…Wears Designer Knock-Offs?!?

Courtney Love recently wore a Chanel dress to Paris Hilton’s birthday party. The frock she wore was part of the designer’s Spring couture collection. But when Chanel officials saw pictures of Courtney wearing the dress, they were immediately alarmed. You see, the only sample of the dress in the world is hanging in a closet in Paris, and it was not lent out to Love. That’s right, Courtney’s dress was a fake, all the way down to her fingerless gloves. According to her publicist, Alan Nierob, Courtney was sent many dresses from various sources to wear during Oscar weekend, and the fake Chanel dress was among the bunch. It is rumored that Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s chief designer, is furious, afraid that clients will mistake Courtney’s imitation dress for the real deal. While Chanel is deciding if they will take any action, Courtney’s publicist says that they don’t know who sent the dress, but that Courtney is sorry for the mishap.
