Runway v. Red Carpet…Oscars 2007

by Norell Alesse on February 26, 2007

There were so many gowns to look at on the red carpet at this year’s Academy Awards. I’m sure you were wondering where many of them came from, and were they really supposed to look that way. Well here are a few runway versus red carpet comparisons. You can be the judge on which looks better. To view even more pictures to compare, head over to Oh No They Didn’t.

Despite what some people thought, Beyonce’s dress was by Armani Prive’, not her House of Dereon.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Zac Posen.

I will say it again, I loved Jennifer Hudson’s Oscar de la Renta ensemble. Just don’t shoot me!

Kirsten Dunst was easily the night’s worst dressed in Chanel couture.

I couldn’t really decide if I loved or hated Cameron’s Valentino gown, but I think it looks better on her than on the runway.

If you look at the too dresses The one the model is wearing and the one Beyonce is wearing you can see the MAJOR differences in the dress the cuvature at the bust is different the detail is similar but if you really look at it. are no way near the same…the fit is different..so it may have been a Dereon that was inspired by Armani…i wouldn’t put it past her to see it and say “Give it an hour glass shape add more leaves and call it Dereon!”
