Rip the Runway…Celeb Style

The 6th annual GM Ten fashion show went down last night. The pre-Oscar event, held at Paramount Studios in L.A., is a charity driven celebrity couture fashion show. Flashy cars, A-list celebrities, and high fashion, all came together for one unforgettable night. Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Katherine Heigl, Christina Milian, and Hayden Panettiere were among the celebrities that showcased their runway skills.

All of the celebrities were styled by celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, except for actress Katherine Heigl, who chose her look with the help of her mom. Jennifer Hudson graced the runway in a Roberto Cavalli dress while Mary J. Blige’s Family Affair played in the background, but this isn’t Jennifer’s first time down the runway. She also appeared in the GM Ten show last month in Detroit.

The stars of one of my favorite tv shows, Heroes, looked great on the catwalk. Masi Oka, who plays Hiro on the hit show, shared with InStyle Magazine how he got ready for his runway debut, “I watched Project Runway to get some tips.” But Hayden Panettiere, who wore a who Louis Becaria dress, had other worries, “They’re going to step on my dress, they always do,” she told InStyle. “They did it at the Golden Globes, I was so mad at them!”

Mary J. Blige opened the show as she walked out to the Police’s Roxanne. She also led her fellow celebrities on their final walk down the runway. Her strapless gown was by designer Collette Dinnigan. Actress Denise Richards followed Blige down the catwalk in a black Dolce & Gabbana halter top dress.

Other celebrities that participated in the event include the stars of Fox’s Bones, David Boreanaz (I’ll alway remember him as Angel) and Emily Deschanel, and singer/actress Christina Milian.
