Milan Fashion Week 2007…Giorgio Armani

by Norell Alesse on February 21, 2007

Milan Fashion Week 2007 - Giorgio Armani

Last season was all about the ‘bubble’ hem. Well, if Giorgio Armani’s fall collection is any indication, this season will be all about the ‘tulip’ hem. A ‘tulip’ hem balloons out like the ‘bubble’ hem, but then it tapers back in as you get to the bottom, just like a tulip flower. Almost all the pieces in Armani’s collection featured this hem, and all the pieces were beautiful. The dominant color theme in this collection was your traditional winter colors of black and grey, but the formal dress pieces featured a splash of color– blue. The Armani name is synonymous with luxury, and this collection was truly luxurious. The rest of the collection can be viewed at Elle.com.

I think the tulip hem is a little harder to pull off than the bubble hem, but I think it could work if styled correctly.

I’m not a fan of the tulip hem, but overall this actually looks pretty good.

Love this show, I have yet to look through all the runway shows, but looks like a great one!
