When I saw the pictures from Turkish born designer Bora Aksu’s runway show, I fell in love. Aksu is a self described “incurable romantic,” and this was clearly evident in his designs. Romantic lines that flow one into the next, lush fabrics, and attention to detial, are all descriptive of Aksu’s designs. Aksu’s signature look is:
based on a creative balance between different textures and fabric weights that he works together through his tailoring, knitting and embellishment techniques. His muted colours come from nature– cream, berry, olive green and every shade of brown.
Bora Aksu is definitely a designer to watch. Again, I chose my favorite pieces from his collection, but you can view the entire show at Elle.com.
