Face of the Future…Chanel Iman

With a name like Chanel Iman it seems as though this fifteen-year-old, who was born in Atlanta but raised in LA, was destined to become a model. Although I just learned about her, Chanel Iman was all the buzz at this year’s Fashion Week in Paris. She was even recently tapped to become the ‘face of the future’ by Vogue Magazine. Chanel just finished her first full season of runway shows whose designers included Valentino, Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, and Dolce & Gabbana. According to Teen Vogue, Chanel always wanted to become a model. “I used to dress up as a model for Halloween, like every year,” she laughs. “I would study all the magazines and practice all my poses and my walk.” As for her future career plans, Chanel says that she intends to become a household name and perhaps launch her own fashion line with her mother, like Beyoncé.
